Sorry I'm late today but I've had "stuff to do". How is everyone doing on their quit??
It's been a month now, 4 weeks, oh yes!!! Still not smoking and feeling a little more confident today, maybe that's because I got an awesome nights sleep last night. It was down in the 40's here (which is alot to say about South Texas) and I slept cuddled under my down comforter and I slept like a baby. I can hardly wait to sleep again tonight ;).
My smoking sister and her husband will be arriving two weeks from tomorrow and I'm in hopes my Chantix can keep me grounded enough not to be miserable wanting to smoke the whole time they are here. I know, cross that bridge when I get there.
Do any of you use a Mac?
Well, I'm going to go outside and enjoy some more of this fabulous autumn day.
Thanks for being there, Maggie, and Sue, and Chris - couldn't do this without you all!!!
I am an addict. I understand I will always be one cigarette away from my pack a day habit.
I vow not to smoke today.
****EDIT****
Husband pissed me off and I lit a cigarette and took ONE DRAG - damn it tasted sooooo good. Yes that is all - ONE DRAG and the Devil made me do it - Damn Him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ha ha...thanks for the giggle! :)
I don't have a Mac, sorry.
I'm heading to Michigan on Thursday and almost everybody that I will be in contact with smokes. I'm taking my Chantix with me, but I may need an exorcism myself when I return. lol
Keep strong, you're doing great!
Woo Hoo - Congratulations on month one! (We won't count that little drag ;-)
Hang in there and keep up the good work.
Oh yes, I missed the 4wk mention. Congratulations and I hope that you have many more!
Hi MamaFlo...Congratulations on your first month smoke-free! I am now smoke-free for 12 days after smoking for 17 years. I am one of the "lucky ones" - I have absolutely no side effects from Chantix (so far!). I definitely get urges off and on, but so far I have been able to stay quit. Good luck with your quit!
Bob, you're a newbie - Congratulations on quitting!!! I went to your Blog but you haven't posted to the Chantix part yet, I hope you get that started soon so we can post to it.
Thanks for the encouragement!
I wish you great success, I smoked 36 years (I'm 52) and wish I'd quit many years ago, actually I wish I'd never have had that first cigarette.
The Chantix hasn't been too bad for me either, just some sleeping issues early on, and a fuzzy head feeling (both have subsided). I could never have quit without the help of the Chantix.
You will be successful if you are determined to quit.
I look forward to your site.
To you other "ladies" - y'all are the best!!!!
Hi MamaFlo...Thanks for your comments...My first post is up now,k so feel free to take a look. I warn you, it's kinda long (and hopefully not boring). Have a great night.
I'm finally catching up...
Sorry, no Mac.
Wow, congrats on the 4 weeks!! The days do string together, and you are doing great.
