How Wonderful

I don't know why but 2008 has started out feeling real good. I'm really not wanting to smoke, I'm watching the type of food I'm putting in my and my husband's mouths trying to get us healthier, the house is decluttering a little more everyday............Wow, how wonderful!!!
I've even got our next cruise booked, a 10 night Ultimate Caribbean in November - it's a ways away but it's a great trip to look forward to.
The first few months of this year will be spent clearing out more clutter and making some home improvements. I've recently come to reappreciate my home more.
My entire frame of mind feels different this year and without smoking - Yipppeee, I hope this means that the worst is over.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend and has managed to stay quit.

So wonderful to hear you in such great spirits, MamaFlo! I'm thrilled for you. Nothing like a great cruise to look forward to headed into winter!

I'm so happy for you that things have improved. I have felt a bit of a relief since the first of the year also. Maybe it's the new year. Unfortunately, I am still getting craves, but they don't seem to be quite as intense nor last quite as long. Hey, I'll take any improvement that I can get. ha ha...

Your cruise sounds wonderful! I've only been on one and it was a 10 night carribean cruse also. We went on Royal Carribean. You've got something great to look forward to. :O)

I wish that my husband would want to start eating healthier. He has a very strange sense of taste. If it doesn't taste exactly how his mind remembers it, he can't eat it. He will literally get sick. He also won't try anything new for fear of not liking it. Me on the other hand, likes nearly everything. I love all types of food. Since I don't want to fix separate dinners for us, I just eat what he does.

Keep up the great work mamaflo!

I hear you. I'm calling 2008 "New Year, New Me!"

I am so jealous about that cruise, though. :-)

Lynda - cruising is nirvana for me, I never need to stop in a port, sea days is what I really look for. We took three cruises this past year - southern caribbean 10 nights, Hawaii from San Diego RT 14 nights, and Mexican Riviera 7 nights. The cruise to Hawaii was beyond words!!
The cruise in November goes to St Thomas (been there but can always shop in St Thomas ;)), St Kitts, St Lucia, St Maarten, Barbados, with 4 days at sea.
I've been fortunate to find great cabins at great prices.

The Mexican Riviera cruise we took last month (Dec 07) was the first cruise I've taken without smoking and although it was different, I didn't find it too, too difficult (although the thought of being able to purchase cigarettes at 5 cartons for $80 onboard was tempting).

I look forward to the year ahead and pray that it's all smoke free.

Dear Mamaflo,
I have traveled quite a bit but I have never been on a cruise! Did you go to Belize? I want to do a Caribbean cruise also! I was in Belize for 12 days as I have family/friends who live there. It is beautiful there and plan on going back again. I was there in December 2005. I would like to see some other islands as well.
Tell me about cruising! I am so glad that you are becomming the Chanitx poster child. Isn't it amazing how much can be accomplished when a person is not lighting up every hour? I am glad you are feeling good as a non-smoker.
Peace,
Diva
