What are "YOUR" changes??

I'm down to a half tablet of Chantix daily and could probably go witout entirely but I'll do this for 2 weeks and make sure feeling this good isn't just a good run and will end (it better not). Most of the time I don't even think about smoking anymore, urges periodically rear their head but I do a couple deep breathing exercises and whallla, the urge is gone.

Did anyone else cut back or change their coffee drinking when they quit smoking? I loved coffee while I was smoking, not so much so off the smokes.
I quit spending so much time outside......I spent alot of time outside while I smoked because I hadn't smoked in the house in the last five years.

What else has changed in your life since you quit smoking?

Yay, yay and yay again! I love when things get a little easier when it's been especially tough. I know you had some definite rugged spots, and I'm just thrilled for you, MamaFlo!

Less coffee? If anything I think I actually drink more coffee. I definitely cook way, way more. It started as a way to keep my hands busy, I think, and I've evolved from someone who cooked almost exclusively from boxes to someone who now prefers to make things from scratch. That's my biggest change aside from not coughing up my lungs every time I try to sleep or enjoy a good chuckle. All around, all good stuff. I will say I don't read as much anymore, though - I used *always* bring reading material outside with me when I smoked at home, sometimes even at work. I still haven't finished that book I was reading when I quit back in June, actually, even if it was good enough that I was halfway through it... ;)

I've found that I don't want to be outside right now - at all. I also smoked outside and now that I'm not going out to do that, I'd just rather stay inside where it's warm. At first it was hard to get through not taking my little "breaks", but I redirect myself now and that seems to work.

I started drinking coffee the day I quit smoking. I drank a lot in the first couple of weeks, but less now - mostly because the lattes were starting to stick to my hips. Now, it's just every now and then.

I took chantix in Nov. 07. Kept feeling naseous even after food. I stopped taking it. Then Dec 7th I started it again. By the 3rd day, I was feeling sick again for about 4 hours after taking it. Then I realized that every time I took it I was drinking coffee. On dec 10th I quit drinking coffee after 30 years of drinking 8 - 10 coffe pot cups a day. Even now, 2 1/2 months later, I cannot even smell coffee, even when it is fresh brewed! Whenever I was at the grocery store, I would always smell the coffee aisle and look for the sales. Not even at the coffee house do I smell coffee. But I still smoke!
