What are you saving up for?
I think we were always saving for something, when the kids were small we saved for all the unexpected things children need/want. Then we saved for private high school and the very occasional vacation, then it was proms dresses and tuxes, helping with date money, clothes - lots and lots of clothes, computers, car insurance, college. Then it was weddings, and now it's grand babies and travel and making sure we have enough money to afford living well the rest of our lives.
I can tell you I don't save for buying cigarettes anymore.
It isn't saving for anything specific, it's saving for general purposes.
This is our change bowl and I remember a time when this was more than we saved in a year - LOL.
Have a Great Tuesday!!
