EVERYONE is talking about having a tough go with their quit right now and I know a few people that have take a detour and have snuck a drag or more (no not me) - is it spring, is this what fresh air and sunshine and warmer weather is going to do???? Please tell me it aint so!!!!!!
After reading everyone's trials and tribulations I decided instead of smoking, I would go to the nearest Baskin Robbins for my weakness - Jamoca Almond Fudge - haven't had any since I first quit almost 6 months ago (figured if I started using this as a crutch, I would blow up big as a house).
I'm crushed, absolutely heart broken - there was no satisfaction whatsoever to my beloved double scoop of Jamoca Almond Fudge!! I have to tell you that I didn't even like it anymore, yes I finished it but I was so disappointed at not getting enjoyment - Whaaaaaaaaa!!! Do I need to start smoking again? Has Quitting completely ruined my palate?

Thankfully, I can say that I'm neither having a hard time with my quit of late (partly because of what I posted today about not going where I'm not comfortable) nor craving ice cream ;) Not bad, not bad at all! Be glad you are not wanting to eat everything else in sight like me!
So your palette will change and you will find a new kind of ice cream like the great new change in your life. Keep it up.

I must have been the exception to Chantix users. Nothing tasted better than before and I still gained 15 pounds due to my thyroid getting annoyed with the medicaton.
Pfft..go figure!
I quit smoking cold turkey 51 days ago, and so many things taste different now. It's rather disappointing. :(
My husband complains that coffee no longer tastes that good. This is upsetting to him because he really enjoys his coffee. I think it's the severed link between his coffee and first smoke of the morning causing the problem.
I am having a hard time...its the end of the school year and it is STRESSFUL! I have not snuck in a drag or anything else but I have felt like it. I am determined not to pick up a cigarette because I do not want to end up a pack a day smoker again! As for food and drink, I used to like coffee WAY more before I quit smoking! Now, it just doesn't taste the same.
Peace,
Diva
