I want a (new, just out) iMac

I currently use a MacBook, it's 2 years old, there have been a number of updates to this machine. It's fine but the screen is only 13". I love the portability, mostly to take when we travel but when we're at home, it's wired up to external hard drives, card readers, ipods, blah-blah-blah and is not portable but the screen is difficult on the eyes for long stretches--damn I'm getting old! LOL

What I'd like is a 24" iMac, ooooooohhhhh, 3.06ghz, lots of bang to use daily and then still have my MacBook for portability.........come on, I need the Mac users out there to talk me into this buy :). It comes in different configurations and yes it's less expensive but the one I want has a 24" piece of screen real estate!!!

What kind of computer do you use?

Thanks for the updated pics of Rudy, he's such a doll! Ugh ... that room was disgusting!

My computer is 3.5 years old, and is a Dell XPS Gen 4. It was the very top of the line at the time, and with upgrades wound up costing $3500. Then again, I program computers for a living and needs me some power. Even though my comp is no longer top-of-the-line, it still competes quite nicely in today's market.

I am not a laptop person. I find you often have to sacrifice pure computing power, which is something I need. Plus I can't stand the tiny keyboards and laptop mouse. I'll stick with my big 'old hunking desktop anyday!

I have an old Gateway computer with Windows XP on it that is probably four years old. I hardly use it because I have a laptop from my job. I agree with Brandy that laptops are really great for portability but I personally hate the heat they generate. I am going to have to give the laptop back in June and will probably end up buying one.

I am debating between buying a Mac or a PC. I want to do music and video editing so I am leaning towards a Mac.
Peace,
Diva
