Did you watch Swingtown?

I've been waiting for this summer series to begin and tonight I got my first show. I think the initial reason I was so curious was because when I was growing up the Hush-Hush series was Peyton Place. I never got to watch it, we were shuttled off to bed and my folks watched it in a room where the door was locked. Imagine that, imagine what was so risqué in the 60's that people watched it in locked rooms. OMG, can you imagine what our parents would have thought about a series like Swingtown.
I for one thought Swingtown has potential as long as they don't let the kids parts take a main control of the storyline. Loved the music, it was our music, I could sing and dance with every tune played.

Did you watch? What did you think?

I've had it on in the background, so I might have to watch it sometime when I'm paying attention to see whether I like it. The last 10 minutes are on right now... The music is awesome.

I only saw the last half and I loved it! I will have to stay up past my regular bedtime to watch this one this summer.

Didn't see it, but I certainly remember the reaction you describe to Peyton Place. That was the talk of my school!

I completely forgot about it to be honest! I just don't watch too much TV these days and have yet to figure out why I even bother to pay for my satellite service!

I watched and gosh it took me back. I agree, hope the kids don't take over. I can still see the "old neighbor" furiously cleaning her oven in my head LOL. Is she jealous or outraged....

HI Deb:

Well... now I have to watch it. Aaargh. I'm behind on design star on HGTV, too. You know, I think swinging is one of those phenomenoms in American culture that's been there for a fairly long time, but of course, quite "hush hush". However, with the internet around now, you can find swingers just about everywhere (if you've a mind to. I don't, but I used to years ago...!)

The idea is interesting though, so I'll try and catch the next episode. Yes, LOVE the music!!!
