Due to our big trip this fall, we've decided to stay put in Texas this summer. We will undoubtedly make some short weekend travel to see Rudy in Houston, and may make an day or overnight trip to North Padre Island, but otherwise we intend to stay at home and enjoy ourselves. This summer in South Texas is already proving brutal with the heat and drought, then there is the situation with the fuel - I can enjoy myself closer to home this summer.
What are your plans?

I don't think I'm going anywhere, at least no where further than a 4 hour drive away. I'm just hoping that my husband gets our pool put up soon so I can at least enjoy the heat in the pool (especially because that's the only place I DO enjoy the heat).
Oh, on your other blog ... when I was young, I wanted to be an accountant. I told me dad this, and he told me it was stupid -- all accountants are going to be replaced by computers. So I went into computers instead, and now I program them for a living.
We're heading to Tennessee next month for a working/vacation week. We're also going to Austin the end of July to celebrate my husband's birthday. Sshhhh, he doesn't know about it!

Staying close to home really. Maybe a couple of Day trips.. Right now I think early August we are going to East Texas. Not sure about the other one.
Fuel prices are awful.
Oh yeah, might have a soccer tournament in Austin over Labor Day!
No plans yet - but summers in the Pacific NW are beautiful, so as long as I'm outdoors, I'll be happy :)
