We haven't had measurable precipitation since February and we are in a serious drought being more than 13" below normal (what we were at this time last year). Our lawns are brown and we are watering just enough to keep it alive (our watering is being monitored).
We got some rain blow in about 40 minutes ago and it didn't last long but something is better than nothing.
Forecast is for highs this week 98-101 through the weekend............more drought.

I hear you on that. It's HOT here right now, too, and we don't have air conditioning. I'd take rain over this right now!
Glad you at least got some rain this weekend after so long.
It was about 100 yesterday, which is really rare here, and without A/C and with a sick cat it wasn't my favorite temp. Today was still upper 80's but didn't get as hot as they thought, thankfully. My fingers are crossed for a storm tonight - we almost never get those here, and I miss them a lot!
I know this will sound ridiculously trite, but we'll be happy to send you some of our extra water from along the Mississippi.
Please?
