Everyone that came to my house on Saturday to meet Rudy is sick with food poisoning. This is the first time this has ever happened to me and I'm mortified with embarrassment.
To know me is to know that I really hate to be sick to my stomach and I wish I would die instead of vomiting. I feel trashed.
My dear husband made me a 7-Up to sip on and hopefully calm this angry gastrointestinal thing I've got going, I'm headed back to bed.

Wow, I wonder what happened, what did everyone eat. Sorry to hear this and hope you all get better soon. I’ve never had food poisoning so I don’t know how it feels, but from your description, it doesn’t sound good. Take care.
Oh my gosh, Deb, I am so sorry to hear that! I had food poisoning once for absolute sure and another as a maybe, and it is horrific. What was it that got everyone sick, and was it store bought? Hope you and everyone start feeling better soon.
I hope everyone gets feeling better soon! Vomiting is the worst! I'm one of those who sort of hyperventilates when they get sick like that. Chamomile tea, water and toast with peanut butter are my things that seem to help a bit when I'm sick.
Hope you're feeling better!
Ugh. I really hope you and everyone else are back on their feet and feeling better soon.
Awww! I really hope you feel better. I feel the exact same way about vomiting -- I will do everything in my power to avoid it. I really feel for you guys. Keep drinking that 7-UP, I hope you get better soon.
It was some ingredient to a salad. There are 2 80+ year olds sick and getting medicine from their doctor and a doctor and his wife (actually stayed home from work today) and my DIL and my Daughter. The only person that appears to have escaped this is my husband and he ate what we ate. Of course they all ate it just once and I ate this three times.
I haven't been to the bathroom in about 3.5 hours and that's probably cause there isn't much left to come out. I'm going to let this run it's course and hopefully feel better tomorrow. I've decided to try a little dropping right now and then I'll head back into the bed.
Why would you be mortified?! This isn't your fault! Something suspect probably got the chicken, and there's nothing you could have done about it. It sure tasted good on the way down! I'm just glad I made it back to Houston before it hit me, that would have been GER-OSS!
I hope you are feeling better very, very soon! And everyone is right, it's not your fault at all. Unfortunately stuff happens :(
I can understand, too, the vomiting part. Unbelievable but I haven't since the 4th grade and that was many decades ago!
Rest up!
Aww hope you feel better soon I hate being sick like that.
Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. I hate to be sick, too. Hate vomiting and hate diarrhea. The only good part is that you feel real light for a day, but then... you start eating again and that light feeling goes away!
What's so awful is that you may not know the exact cause of the poisoning - could be something like oil or mayo, or the greens or another vegetable, or chicken. There are so many things that can get Ecoli, salmonella, etc. that I'm not sure unless we decide we won't buy anything (just grow our own food and slaughter our own chickens), that we're ever entirely safe.
I hope everybody feels good real soon. Especially the elderly folks - this can be quite hard on them.
Warmly,
~Laura
Oh, I hope you'll feel better soon, that is just miserable!
Came on to do another 65 drops and it's just not in me to continue. The vomiting stopped about 11am but the other end has appeared more than once since then. My head is killing me and I'm afraid to take much for it and then have it upset my stomach. I have not eaten a single morsel of food today, only 7-Up and Water. And oh yeah, my legs hurt.
Here's to hoping their is improvement during the night and I wake up in the morning feeling significantly improved.
Thanks Everyone for your well wishes.
Oh no! I hope everyone feels better soon!
get well soon Mamaflo!
Wow.. even though you not feeling well, you still drops. What a dedicated dropper you must be. I suggest you take some rest.
Wow! I really hope your feeling better soon. I also despise the vomiting part about being sick.
Food poisoning is the worst - I hope you get to feeling better soon...
I had food poisoning during finals my senior year of college - thank goodness I had an awesome professor who let me make up the final with one of his other classes. I was very particular on what I ate for weeks.
Got food poisoning once when I ate mussels....I feel your pain.
That is awful! I hope you get to feeling better soon.
Yuck. I've had food poisoning about four times in my life. Always off of chicken, too.
Miserable stuff.
Get well!

Do they sell kaolin in the States? One of the most settling medicines I have found is kaolin and morphine which calms and cures sickness and diarrhoea.
Hope you are back to your old self soon.
Take good care of yourself, Polly
Oh dear! I hope you'll feel better soon.. take care and take lots of fluids :)
