Holy Moly, the new additions to Entrecard are phenomenal!! I'm hoping EC is going to continue getting more and more sophisticated - shit, I spend enough time using it!! No further need for the bookmarks I set up and tried to religiously use. What do you think is next? I think SezWho has fizzled out, I don't see it on most of the blogs I visit, do you think they are revamping this?
Hubby and I have been in the pool most of this afternoon, laying on floats, listening to music and talking about our upcoming cruise (which is now less than 60 days away). We are however a little shakey on what could happen with our flights which are the same day as our cruise and both are suppose to be straight through flights........all the airlines are saying that there are huge changes coming after Labor Day. We have already decided that instead of taking two check on bags each, we'll only take one each and each take a carry on, him a backpack and me a wheeled suitcase for things such as medicine, jewelry, cameras, computers, binnoculars (there will be one set in our cabin but we have these celestial ones that are so much better and then we'll each have a set).
I've been trying to spend some time with my camera and the manual that came with it, I want to experiment and learn how to use it before our cruise.
Yesterday afternoon someone broke a window in my FIL's car (he's 83) while it was sitting his his driveway........he has no idea if anything was stolen, he keeps so much crap in that car and he's so old that....well, you get the picture. We drove over there, called the police who came and took a report so that the break-in could be reported to the insurance company. He has an old car so when my husband called to have it replaced, they said it would be at least Monday afternoon before they could have the part/glass.
Essentially, there is so little time outside of my computer and my camera and, and, and (somewhere in those ands is my husband, housework, cooking, and laundry and oh yeah, some occassional shopping) that I want to add about 12 hours to my day or perhaps just not sleep unless I fall asleep at the computer.
Don't take this as complaining, I'm not complaining one little bit, I love life!!!

Wow talk about a busy weekend, I am sorry about you FIL's car, that is a pretty rotten thing that the person did not have the decency to own up to what they did.
How does it feel being retired? I can't even think that far with my kids not yet in their teens.
Ada, being retired is fantastic! Just being able to do whatever you want to do when you want to do it has to be the most inebriating thing I've ever done!
I never thought my husband would take to not having a job to go to since he's had 2 jobs since we married more than 31 years ago, but he took to being retired like a duck to water and never looked back.
We had so many things we wanted to do and never had the time to do them until we retired. Hopefully we'll never grow tired of this ;)
The airlines are getting out of hand and sound like they are only going to get worse. We prepaid our two checked bags at $10 each segment($40 total) for our flight to Florida. Then we had to pay $12 per person, per segment ($96 total)to request seats so that our children wouldn't have to sit by themselves on the airplane. On top of all that, they charge for drinks and snacks now, too.
Ha! You got married the year I was born, didn't you! LoL. (Just giving you a hard time.) :-)
So glad to hear your doing good. Happy Anniversary Girl!!! I am so proud to call your a non-retired blogger... Bloggings a full time job.
Enjoy retirement I am so jealous & I agree about adding 12 hrs to the day & no sleep its 4#30 am & I had 1 hr sleep & now am at DDswho went into labor & Ineed a vacation so bad!
ta da I finally got enough ec together at once to advertise on your blog... It's a damn miracle I tell ya!
Congrats on the two year retirement anniversary! I long to spend my days lounging by the pool ... but I have many more work years to put in before I earn the right to do that!
The cruise sounds so much fun! I've never been on one but have always wanted to go. Oh well, one of these years I will.
i do love the new EC toolbar, helps a lot. i'm not a big dropper, but i do so when i can...makes it easier
sorry about FIL's car. i hate when people can't leave your crap alone. treat other people the way you would want to be treated, is that so hard?
Congrats on te two-year retirement! I like the Entrebar, maybe now I'll get to all the blogs I want to daily...
Congratulations on making it 2 years of retirement and still being busy and having fun! You earned it! Just make sure you weigh your bags before you head to the airport. I try and cram all the essentials into a purse, things like medication that I just can't live with out. I wish I had a cruise to look forward to!
I've been dropping around my EC for two months and sometimes I dropped here but, pardon me, just dropping without reading your post. And this is the first time I read your post and it's an interesting reading. I put this blog into my entrebar favorites so won't miss my enjoyable reading. Thanks, mama...
