Cool Front

This morning we awoke to temperatures in the low 60's!!  We hardly ever see temperatures this low in September.  The forecast has us noticeably cooler both during the day and in the mornings all week and this is certainly welcome.  It's overcast today but they aren't calling for rain - hey, we'll take the cooler weather!!!

I wish this cooler weather would somehow make it's way down to Houston because without power these people are really uncomfortable.
We are hoping that power will be restored for most of Houston by the end of this week.  My Son (in Houston) seems to think they could possibly have power at their house as quick as today or tomorrow (I'm crossing my fingers Son).

It's even cooler here (California) as well. I like it just fine too. I so hope those affected by the hurricane recoup quickly. Power would help in that endeavor as well. Have a great day. :)

I remember when we stayed during Hurricane Lilly. People across the street were without power for a week or more but our power was back on within hours of the storm passing. There really is no way to predict how or in what order the power grid will be restored. With luck your son will be in a location that gets back on line first!

We've got great temps in the 60's here and I'm lovin' it! I even opened the patio door to let cool, nonhumid air in for the first time since April!

After 4 years of weather around 37 to 45 degrees Celsius, I will soon dwell in temperatures from minus 10 to plus 24 (sometimes 30) degrees. Brrrr.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for your son too. It has been very cool and rainy here in Kansas, but this week the sun has finally come out of hiding. It is beautiful weather. Hopefully all of those without power will get it as soon as possible!

Take care:)

It's been hot here, upper 80's, but will cool down this week for perfect 75-80 and sunny. Hope your son has power again by now and glad they are safe.

I hope your son in Houston gets power soon, I have a friend there in Houston too, and gladly the place they were in Houston was not as much hammered by Ike.

i always love waking up in a cool morning with fogs or low clouds, adds drama to a scenery. on the other hand, i also like waking up with pink sky which we do not see here often, not because I am too lazy to get up, but a lot of times, it is just foggy in the spring, summer and fall.

It's felt like pure heaven here today and yesterday, both. Cool breezes, temps in the 70's, just beautiful days.

I hope Houston gets some of it, too...my brother is there so we both have personal reasons for wanting it to cool down for them.

I've missed you!

Actually it's cooler here in NJ as well and this weather is decent. I like when it's warm part of the day, afternoon and cooler at night. I wish it would stay like this. Fat chance.

I hope things are improving for your son. We are hearing reports about Texas here in Hawaii and share in your pain. What a very sad and difficult time this is. Please know we are thinking of you all.

We have our windows up here in Arkansas, airing out the house and letting the cool breeze do the job, along with the ceiling fans. It feels great!

Being originally from eastern North Carolina and having survived many a hurricane, I sure hope those folks down in Texas get some of this cool weather soon.

I hear you! Yesterday morning it was 52 degrees! Now it gets cold here, but not this cold this soon. I keep waiting for summer to come back before it's too late ... but I fear it's gone already, and much too soon!
