Since I last was successful posting, we have been to Huatulco, Mexico - gorgeous port, lovely people, up and coming resort destination. Puerto Chiapas, Mexico - not worth a plugged nickle at this point in time. This is a brand spanking new port that Mexico is trying to build up and there is nothing there. Today we were in Puerto Quetzal, Guatamala/Antigua - old world in the mountains and a place you need to come and spend some real time at. There is severe poverty everywhere we've been but also great beauty.
I will continue to try to post some of my 2,000+ photos already (yes you read that right).

looking forward to the photos.
Just have fun honey. Will await pictures when you return. Big hug. :)
Looks like you had a great time and I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures!
That is the difference between you and me: You have only from one trip some 2'000 photos. I, in my whole life, made perhaps 200 photos. That is why I have to revert to Google Images to document my posts.
Looking forward to see your photos.
I can't wait to see the photos! I know that if the US economy is dying, then Mexico and Central America are being hit really hard! Hope you and hubby are having a great trip!

The cliff divers do look fascinating. I could never do it that's for sure!!:-)))

I ran across your blog and since I can't find info onf Puerot Chiapas, I though maybe you could give me some info based on your recent visit. We are going there in April. Everything I read reiterates your statement about not much to do there. Are there taxis available at the pier? What did you do? We are planning on going to Izapa ruins and Tapachula City but don't know how to make that happen. Any suggestions or input would be very welcomed.

Bob, can I assume you will be on a Panama Canal Cruise? I can't tell you anything about Puerto Chiapas except that there is a visitor's center with shows (free) along with some shops and right next door is a lovely pool (all right off the ship). We enjoyed the other stops on our Panama Canal trip more than this particular stop but if you do something I'd love to hear about it as we will no doubt return to do another canal cruise in the future.
Have a great time!!
