I can't tell you anything about Puerto Chiapas except that there is a visitor's center with shows (free) along with some shops and right next door is a lovely pool (all right off the ship). We are going there in April. Everything I read reiterates your statement about not much to do there. Are there taxis available at the pier? What did you do? We are planning on going to Izapa ruins and Tapachula City but don't know how to make that happen.
